This is the Detailed Story of the World’s Most Rare Antique Engraving and the Man Who Created It

Godfrey Emanuel Lundberg (1879-1933) was a distinguished engraver in Spokane and Seattle during the early part of the twentieth century.  He is most noted for his hand engraving of the Lord’s Prayer on the tiny head of a gold pin that was displayed at the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition in San Francisco and won a gold medal in engraving.  He engraved the world-famous pin in Spokane, Washington from 1913 to 1915.

The overall condition of the engravings, their display containers and stands, the Bausch and Lomb Optical Company microscopes, and the storage/carrying box was very good.

Unless otherwise stated herein, the appraisal is based only on the readily apparent identity of the items being authenticated.  In my opinion no further guarantee or authenticity, genuineness, attribution, or authorship is necessary.

The authentication is based upon the whole interest and possessory interest of the client, undiminished by any liens, fractional interests or any other form of encumbrances or alienation.  However, this authentication is not an indication or certificate of title of ownership.  The identification of the interests of the client has been represented to me by the client and no inquiry or investigation will be made nor is any opinion to be given as to the truth of such representation.

The authentication conclusions expressed herein are based on the appraiser’s best judgment and opinion.  The authentication is based on current information on the date the inspection was made.
